Swedish powerlifting prodigy, Carl ‘Deadlift.Miyagi’ Johansson, has been selected to compete at the Senior World championships in Malta this summer after a six-records-broken performance at the Swedish Open.
The rising star has been dominating the competition since 2022, where he crushed his opponents at both the Junior World and European championships. In February 2023, he secured his spot in the senior team by becoming the Swedish National Champion.
Johansson expressed his excitement and gratitude, saying, “This is a dream come true. Representing my country at the World Championships has always been my goal, and I’m humbled to have this opportunity so early in my career. I won’t let my team or my country down. I’ll be giving everything I have.”
