Per Störby Jutbring’s work is currently stylized by its blend of traditional orchestration with contemporary electronic elements, drawing on minimalism. He has released 18 albums, composed for a wide array of media and genres, and toured extensively all over the world. His work has been presented at venues like National Grand Theatre in Beijing, Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans, Festival de Inverno in Brazil, among others.
Störby Jutbring has composed music for films, for Oscar and Bafta Award winner Searching For Sugarman, among others, and for drama series on Netflix and Viaplay. He also composed for theatre, at Stockholm City Theatre, Swedish National Theatre, and dance performances with SBDNY (USA) and others.
He has received numerous awards including Composer of the Year award from SKAP – Swedish Society of Songwriters, Composers and Authors and received several prizes at the Manifest Gala (Swedish Indie Grammy), Swedish Folk- and World-gala, and grants from STIM.
He is the musical director and composer of the progressive ensemble New Tide Orquesta, with whom he plays the tricky Bandoneon. With a mixture of baroque music, tango nuevo, improvisation and minimalism NTO has released 9 albums, toured the world and contributed to countless TV- and radio-shows. He also made electronic pop as Zeigeist and made numerous collaborations with other artists.
Störby Jutbring has worked in various styles, including chamber music, string orchestra, choir, jazz, world, folk, pop, electro etc. In combination with his skills in electronic gear, analog synths, acoustic instruments, ensemble performance, and his substantial craft of music, he is a unique creative force.
